2. Information We Collect When you connect your Google Account to Cortanai, we request access to certain Google APIs (OAuth 2.0) to provide our services. This includes access to:
Gmail: To read, summarize, and draft emails on your behalf.
Google Calendar: To view your schedule and create new events or meetings.
Google Drive & Docs: To read and summarize your documents and files.
Google Tasks: To view and manage your to-do lists.
We only access the data necessary to perform the tasks you explicitly request from the AI assistant.
3. How We Use Your Information The data accessed from your Google Account is used strictly to provide the Cortanai assistant features. We process your inputs, emails, calendar events, and documents through the Google Gemini API to generate responses, summaries, and automated actions. We do not use your data to train generalized AI models.
4. Google API Services User Data Policy (Limited Use Disclosure) Cortanai's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell your data, nor do we use it for serving personalized advertisements.
5. Data Sharing and Disclosure We do not share, sell, or rent your personal information to third parties. Your data is processed securely and is only shared with the underlying AI models (such as Google's Gemini API) strictly for the purpose of fulfilling your specific requests.
6. Data Retention and Security We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. Cortanai processes your Google Workspace data ephemerally where possible and does not permanently store your emails or document contents on our servers beyond what is necessary to maintain your active session and usage history.
7. Your Rights and Revoking Access You maintain full control over your data. You can revoke Cortanai’s access to your Google Account at any time by visiting your Google Account Security settings (Manage Third-Party Access). Once revoked, Cortanai will no longer have access to your data.
